How do I use it in a recipe?

Bloom · Heat · Dissolve · Use.

  1. Bloom. Stir 1 sachet into 1/4 cup cool liquid. Let sit for 1 minute.
  2. Heat. Bring 3/4 cup liquid to a boil.
  3. Dissolve. Add the hydrated mixture to the hot liquid. Stir for 1 minute until dissolved. Remove from heat and let stand for 3 minutes.
  4. Use. Add to recipe as directed. Refrigerate for 3 hours until firm.

Gelatin Alternative is designed as a sachet-for-sachet swap for traditional unflavored gelatin in classic recipes like cheesecakes, mousses, panna cotta, and other set desserts.

Unflavored Jel is our unflavored version of a jel dessert mix. It is great when you want to make a neutral-flavored jel-style dessert or customize your own flavors, but it is not designed to replace traditional gelatin in recipes.

So, if a recipe calls for unflavored gelatin, use Simply Desserts Gelatin Alternative.
