The hump on a frozen Ninja Creami pint is completely normal. It forms because the base freezes unevenly, thickest and highest in the center, no matter which recipe you are spinning. It does not mean your recipe failed. To avoid a stubborn hump, level the mix flat before freezing, seat the pint straight in the outer bowl, and if the paddle still will not cut through cleanly, run one more Respin cycle to smooth it out.
What causes the Ninja Creami hump
A Ninja Creami pint freezes from the outside in. The walls and base sit directly against the cold freezer air, so they harden first. The center and the top of the mix are insulated by the frozen layer forming around them, so they are always the last part to fully solidify. As that last bit of liquid finishes freezing and expanding, it has nowhere to go but up, which pushes a small dome into the middle of the surface.
This is simple physics, not a mistake on your part. It happens with a plain milk base, a Simply Desserts protein ice cream base, and a jel-crystal sorbet alike. If your freezer shelf is tilted, or the pint was leaning in a door rack instead of standing flat, the hump can also sit off-center or lean to one side, which is the same effect just uneven.
How to prevent it (level freezing, flat surface)
You cannot eliminate the physics of freezing entirely, but you can make the hump far smaller and easier to deal with.
Level the surface before it goes in the freezer. After pouring your base into the pint, tap the pint firmly on the counter several times. This releases trapped air bubbles and lets the mixture settle into a flat layer. Run the back of a spoon or a small spatula across the top to smooth it before sealing on the lid.
Install the pint correctly and freeze it flat. Set the pint upright on a stable, level freezer shelf, not on a door rack or wire shelf that can tilt. Leave it undisturbed for a full 24 hours. A level start plus a level, undisturbed freeze is the single biggest factor in a flatter finish.
How to fix it (respin)
If a hump has already formed, do not try to force the lid down or push the paddle through by hand. Load the pint as normal and select the Respin function. If the display shows an error or the paddle stalls because the mix is too hard, add a small splash of milk or your recipe's liquid through the mix-in spout, then run Respin again. The extra cycle breaks up the frozen dome and evens out the whole pint in the process.

Does it affect texture
No. The hump is only about the shape of the frozen block, not the quality of the dessert inside it. Once the pint has fully processed, and been respun if it needed it, the texture underneath is just as smooth and scoopable as a pint that happened to freeze perfectly flat. One honest note: a base with a little more body, like one made with Simply Desserts Protein Pudding Mix or Jel Crystals stirred in, can sometimes freeze a touch more evenly because there is more dissolved solid holding the structure together. It is not a guarantee against the hump, but it is a genuine side benefit of a well-stabilized base.
